Got a Game-Changing Product Idea But Don’t Know Where to Start?

You’ve tried getting quotes from Alibaba, reaching out to manufacturers, and even contacting engineering firms…

And what do you hear back?

“You need to order 500+ units to get started.”

“Engineering fees alone will run you $50,000.”

“Development will take at least 6 months.”

That’s where PrototyperLab comes in. We’ll get your prototype done in 7 days—and if you need small batch production, we can make as few as 20 units. This means lower costs, faster testing, and getting your product to market in just 2 months.

Who Are We?

We’re a team of engineers with 20+ years of experience helping entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life—especially for eCommerce in the U.S. and Europe. We’re passionate about product design, 3D printing, and small-scale manufacturing, and we know firsthand how risky launching a new product can be.

Too many entrepreneurs spend thousands on development and countless hours perfecting their idea, only to launch on Amazon or Shopify and hear… crickets.

We help minimize that risk.

How We Make It Easier for You

  • Rapid Prototyping – Get your prototype in 7 days
  • Small Batch Production – Test your idea with as few as 20 units
  • Transparent Pricing – Just $25/hour for engineering time + material & facility costs
  • In-House 3D Printing, Molding, Production – No need for expensive bulk orders

If you’re ready to turn your idea into reality—without the massive upfront investment—Get a Quote today!

Consultation

We start by understanding your vision. In this step, we’ll discuss:

  • Your Product Idea – What problem does it solve? Who’s your target customer?
  • Functionality & Features – What should it do? Any must-have specs?
  • Materials & Aesthetics – What should it be made of? How should it look?
  • Quantity & Timeline – How many units do you need? When do you need them?

Quotation

Once we’ve mapped out your product, we’ll provide a clear, upfront estimate that includes:

  • Prototype Development Cost – Engineering hours + materials
  • Small Batch Production Cost – Pricing for 20-100 units

No hidden fees. No surprises. Just a straight-up breakdown of what it takes to get your product off the ground.

Research & Design

Once you approve the estimate, we get to work.

  • Market Research – We explore existing products and patents to find smart ways to refine and enhance your idea—instead of reinventing the wheel. This saves you time, money, and potential legal trouble.
  • Design Options – Our engineers will present designs and functional options for review before moving to the next stage.

Prototyping: Build → Test → Improve

This is where your idea takes shape

  • Build – We create a working prototype based on research and design concepts.
  • Test – We analyze functionality, identify problems, and gather feedback.
  • Improve – We refine the prototype to make it better, stronger, and market-ready.

Every iteration gets you closer to the final product.

Feedback & Final Refinements

Once the prototype is complete, we fine-tune the details:

  • Implement improvements based on testing & feedback
  • Finalize the product design for production
  • Conduct any last stress tests if needed
  • Get your final approval for manufacturing

Production & Logistics

Once we have the green light, we handle everything to bring your product to life:

  • Production Sample – You’ll receive a sample for final approval
  • Manufacturing – Full-scale production run
  • Packaging & Quality Inspection – Ensuring top-tier quality before shipment.
  • Logistics & Shipping – We have 11+ years of experience managing shipping from Vietnam to the U.S. & Europe, so you don’t have to stress about it. We have worked with many US brands and entrepreneurs that sell on Amazon & or on Shopify, so we have lots of experience meeting their 3PL requirements.

Case Studies & Reviews

We’ve helped entrepreneurs and businesses turn their ideas into real, market-ready products. Here are just a few projects we’ve worked on and what our clients have to say:

Party and Event Equipment

Prototyperlab were quick and efficient—had our first prototype ready in just two weeks. The whole process was low-risk, making it easy to test new products with our existing customers. At first, I thought we’d use them for development and then move mass production to our factory in China, but their pricing was very competitive. Keeping production with Prototyperlab meant better quality control and ongoing improvements, so there was no reason to take the risk of moving it elsewhere.

“We found Prototyperlab through a recommendation from another brand, and to be honest, we weren’t sure what to expect. We shared one of our new product ideas and its use case, and within a few days, they had a physical plastic prototype ready. I was seriously impressed! The pricing is super reasonable, which means we can test out even more product idea, especially those with electronics or automation. It’s a huge time-saver for us, letting our team focus more on launching and marketing instead of getting stuck in long development cycles.”
